OUR DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Genius Loci Studio designs interiors with architectural rigor and a strong sense of story and style. The work prioritizes timeless foundations—proportion, light, materiality, and flow—so each space feels cohesive and intentional in everyday life, not just styled for a moment. The aesthetic leans warm, tactile, and quietly elevated, with a touch of nostalgia and an emphasis on choices that will age well rather than chase trends.
The studio is built for clients who want clarity. Genius Loci simplifies the design process into a focused, decision-ready plan: a clear direction, edited selections, and practical guidance that removes second-guessing and keeps projects moving. Instead of endless options and drawn-out back-and-forth, the approach is streamlined, structured, and decisive—so clients can execute with confidence and end up with a home that feels intentional, comfortable, and built to last.

THE FOUNDER
Crosbie Roper holds dual degrees in Fine Art and Architecture. After moving to New York City in 2015, she worked across commercial and high-end residential studios, developing early-stage concepts and a sharp understanding of how light, materiality, and spatial flow create atmosphere.

Alongside design, she built a parallel foundation in film—directing and producing projects that trained her to think of space as a living, emotional environment shaped by composition, movement, and detail.
Genius Loci Studio sits at the intersection of those disciplines, translating architectural rigor and cinematic sensibility into interiors that feel timeless, tactile, and intentionally composed.
